<h2>What is ambientCG?</h2><a href="https://ambientcg.com/">ambientCG.com</a> (formerly CC0Textures.com) is a website I started in late 2017 with one goal: Create the best possible 3D assets, like materials, photoscans, HDRIs and more and share them freely on the internet. Since then the collection has grown to more than 1900 pieces. <img src="https://cdn3.struffelproductions.com/file/ambientCG/media/patreon/materials.png"> All assets can be downloaded instantly and without any registration or restriction and are available in multiple resolutions, ranging up to 8K or even 16K. <img src="https://cdn3.struffelproductions.com/file/ambientCG/media/patreon/sbsars.png"> Subtance 3D files (SBSARs) are available as well, allowing you to create new variations of existing mateirlas by tweaking the material parameters. <img src="https://cdn3.struffelproductions.com/file/ambientCG/media/patreon/hdris.png"> You can also get unclipped HDRIs to create realistic lighting scenarios and detailed reflections in your scenes. <img src="https://cdn3.struffelproductions.com/file/ambientCG/media/patreon/3dmodels.png"> The collection of 3D models is a bit smaller compared to the other sections, but it already provides you with many photoscanned models to quickly add details to your scenes. Everything is licensed under the Creative Commons CC0 License, which means that you can use them for free and for any kind of project (even commercial projects) with practically no restrictions, making them ideal for anyone who wants to create high-quality 3D artwork without having to worry about pricing, licenses, or commercial usage restrictions. It also mean that the entire site makes no money on its own. So in order to grow the collection and keep it completely open for everyone, I have created this Patreon page. Your contributions are invested in equipment for photoscanning such as better cameras and lenses or hard- and software for processing. The ~70 TB of monthly traffic generated by ambientCG.com need to be taken care of as well. <h2>What do I get for pledging?</h2>There are several reward tiers, which include a variety of benefits: <ul><li>Early access to new assets before they are released publicly.</li><li>Access to a Discord server for making suggestions or viewing WIP versions of upcoming materials.</li><li>Simpler batch-downloading using <a href="https://nextcloud.com">Nextcloud </a>technology.</li><li>Access to the original Substance Designer Projects (.sbs instead of just .sbsar) for all procedural materials.</li></ul>More benefits are planned for the future, for example native Blender asset browser integration. <h2>Become a part of the 0.067%</h2>Currently only 0.067% (less than 1 in 1000) of ambientCG users support the site financially.
